How to convert Fitbit to Garmin
A short walkthrough of the whole flow: export from Google Takeout, convert here, and import into Garmin Connect.
About this video
A short walkthrough of the whole flow: export from Google Takeout, convert here, and import into Garmin Connect.
What you'll learn:
- How to request your Fitbit archive from Google Takeout
- Which files to upload to TrackerSync
- How to import the converted files into Garmin Connect
What the video covers, step by step
The walkthrough opens on the Google Takeout export screen, where Fitbit is selected on its own and the archive is requested as a ZIP. It then jumps to the extracted folder, picks three weight JSON files out of Takeout/Fitbit/Global Export Data, and drops them into the converter. The upload validates each file, the conversion runs, and the resulting .FIT file downloads. The closing shot is the Garmin Connect import screen with that file selected.
Who this is for
Anyone moving off Fitbit who wants their weight or step history to survive the switch, and who would rather not run a Python script to get it. If you have not requested your archive yet, start with the export guide: the video assumes the ZIP has already arrived.
